Meta Business, business verification, Meta Verified, WhatsApp Business App, WhatsApp Business Platform, Tech Provider… These terms are everywhere and nobody explains them. Here is what they mean, how they fit together, and exactly where Fydelup sits in that ecosystem.
Meta is not just Facebook. It is the company behind Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp. For a local business, four building blocks really matter.
Your company's vault
This is the Meta space where all your business assets live: your Facebook page, your professional Instagram account, your ad accounts and your WhatsApp Business account. Without a business portfolio (formerly Business Manager), bulk WhatsApp access is simply not possible.
You create one , or use yours , and add Fydelup to it as a partner.
Meta confirms your company is real
Meta verifies your company through official documents: registration extract, proof of address, VAT number… It is free and required to unlock WhatsApp sending volumes beyond the entry tier.
Not to be confused with Meta Verified: nothing to pay here, it is an administrative check.
The trust badge, as a subscription
Meta Verified is a paid subscription Meta offers businesses. It brings a verification badge on profiles (Facebook, Instagram, and depending on the market WhatsApp), impersonation protection and more direct access to Meta support.
Optional. Good for brand credibility, but not a requirement to send WhatsApp campaigns.
Two very different products
The WhatsApp Business app is free, installed on a phone, designed for replying by hand. The WhatsApp Business Platform (the official API) is built for structured sending at scale, with approved message templates, delivery analytics and automations.
Fydelup runs on the official platform , the one that genuinely allows bulk campaigns.
| WhatsApp Business (app) | Official platform via Fydelup | Unofficial tools | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sending to thousands of customers | No , broadcasts are very limited | Yes, within your granted tier | Advertised, but banned by Meta |
| Allowed by Meta | Yes | Yes | No |
| Risk of the number being blocked | Low | None when rules are followed | High |
| Delivery and read analytics | No | Yes, message by message | Unreliable |
| Meta-approved templates | No | Yes | No |
| Automations and targeting | No | Yes | Limited |
| Several people on one number | No | Yes | No |
Tools that drive WhatsApp from a simulated phone breach Meta's terms. Getting the number blocked is the usual outcome , and a banned number is very hard to recover.
Meta does not open its WhatsApp API to the public. It works through approved technology partners called Tech Providers (formerly Business Solution Providers). Fydelup is a Meta partner and was named Tech Provider.
Your messages leave from Meta's own infrastructure, not from a middleman server imitating a phone.
Every marketing template must be approved by Meta. Fydelup prepares, submits and tracks those approvals for you.
Attaching the number to the WhatsApp Business account, display name, verification: we walk you through it.
Fydelup tracks your quality rating and messaging tier, and warns you before an issue limits your campaigns.
Consent recorded, one-click unsubscribe, data hosted in Europe, DPA available.
Your Fydelup subscription, plus WhatsApp messages at the cost WhatsApp charges. No hidden margin.
Six steps, most of them done together during onboarding.
You create (or reuse) your Meta business portfolio and add Fydelup as a technology partner.
You send your official documents to Meta. It is free and it determines your future volumes.
A WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) is created for your business, with its profile: name, logo, description, hours, address.
You connect a dedicated number to the platform and choose the display name your customers see. Meta approves that name.
Your recurring messages (promotion, birthday, appointment reminder) are submitted to Meta. Approval is usually fast.
You import your customers, AI writes, you approve, you send. Analytics come back live.
Each plan sets a daily WhatsApp sending cap , 250 messages a day on Essentiel, 1,000 on Fydélité, 3,000 on Business, 10,000 on Entreprise , within the tier Meta grants your number.
A customer must have agreed to receive your WhatsApp messages. Fydelup records the date, source and proof of that consent, and automatically removes anyone who unsubscribes.
Outside an ongoing conversation you cannot write freely: you use a Meta-approved template with personalised variables (first name, promo code, date). Fydelup manages that library.
When a customer replies, a customer service window opens: you can chat freely for 24 hours. After that, you go back through a template.
Meta distinguishes marketing, utility, authentication and service messages. The price depends on category and country. Fydelup passes that cost through with no margin.
Meta rates your number based on reports and blocks. A good rating raises your sending tier; a poor one lowers it. Hence the value of sending useful, expected messages.
Meta gradually increases the number of unique recipients you can contact per 24 hours as your history and quality build up.
We handle the Meta side. You handle your customers.
